# Clue Scrolls

## Clue Scrolls <a href="#mining_on_souls_of_elysium" id="mining_on_souls_of_elysium"></a>

* Clue scrolls can be obtained from [Demonic and Diabolic monsters](/soe-wiki/gameplay/diabolic-demonic-monsters.md) rarely.&#x20;
* They are a small challenge and sometimes can be very rewarding.
* Currently only Easy tier are available.
* Not currently available to be completed on Rookgaard.

### Clue Master <a href="#mining_pick" id="mining_pick"></a>

* Some clues require special items to complete so head to Leos Enclave ( purple tile in all Temples) and go down the stairs and ask the Clue Master NPC to TRADE.
* Buy a treasure hunting shovel and a treasure compass!

### What to do?

* Once you have obtained a clue scroll you need to use it to reveal your first clue.&#x20;
* You will get a notification and animation on your screen.

* Use the scroll again to see what the first step is.

* Solving the clue is accomplished in several ways, some require you to find a certain item or spot and simply use it to complete the clue such as this one in Darashia.&#x20;
* Using the correct item will reveal the next step of the clue scroll.

* This specific clue will require the use of the treasure hunting shovel and treasure compass purchased earlier.
* Go to the general area stated in the clue and use the compass to get specific directions. These may require you to go into caves or up/down floors.

* Continue searching and using the compass until it tells you that you have found the correct spot and use the treasure hunting shovel to dig that spot.

### Clue Info

* Some clues you may encounter will tell you to go to an NPC and perform an action. Some of these such as this clue is to perform an emoji, which the clue will tell you.
* To perform the emoji simply say in chat the required one, in this case a smile. Simply say :smile WITH the : mark and you will make the required emoji

* Other clues will require you to speak with an NPC, simply go to them and say Hi and Clue

### Reward

* After finishing the scroll which may be 2-5 clues, you will get a reward casket.
* Make sure you have enough room in your bag and plenty of extra capacity! If you do not you may lose out on your rewards!
* random rewards, from... not so great to amazing. They can include (g) items or basic supplies!
